DESIGNING FROM THE INSIDE…OUT: All too often a home design will start with an exterior architectural idea that takes priority over how you really want to live inside.
From the beginning it is extremely important for us to help you develop the important ideas that will drive the design of your home. Our Lifestyle Design Survey and pre-design conference will help establish your needs, desires, and living patterns in a way that will get you what you want…and more.
There are many parameters inherent in a new home project (site issues, cost, style, building codes, design review criteria, architect’s ideas, builder’s ideas, etc.) but the prioirities should always be guided by how you live. Since you don’t live on the outside of the home, we start building a design from the inside. Initial ‘block plans’ will establish what are the key rooms, room adjacencies, your’ comfort sizing’ dimensions, and capacity requirements. Once the ‘inside’ has been established based on your lifestyle needs and wants, then an outside architecture can be wrapped around these essentials.
OUR ALL INCLUSIVE SERVICE: A fixed fee is your entire cost for our all inclusive services. This may be your first time in designing and building a custom home and it should be made as simple and easy as possible. We have built many custom homes and that experience helps us understand, anticipate and be prepared to deliver the services you will need (even if you may not realize all of them at the beginning of the process). Whether it’s arranging logistics for your trips during construction, finding the right set of product stores for your budget and tastes, or having our storage facilities available to you for staging furniture, etc to assist your move-in, we are ready to help in every way.
A TRANSPARENT AND FIXED FEE: Once you have developed your design and we have established the ‘base budget’, we will give you our final fixed fee based on the size and complexity of the project. After this has been agreed to, there will be no additional fees charged by us. No change order fees, no % on additional costs incurred with changes. We also guarantee that we get no additional income from sub contractors ‘marking up’ bills for our benefit. All bills paid are available for inspection and include our ‘no mark up’ guarantee.
